New Month Resolustions

So I know I'm a little late with this, it being the 8th and all, but the first few days of this year I was doing uni work and writing an essay, and the last few I have been moving back to Falmouth and finishing off my work, so blogging and new year resolutions hadn't really crossed my mind!

Now as for new year resolutions, yes I have made some but I pretty much know I'll either fail them or just totally forget them so I can't really be assed to write a post listing them for you haha. I find tasks are a lot easier when split into smaller portions so that's what I'll be doing this year. Monthly resolutions.

I'm sure you can work out what it is, but for those who can't, the idea is to create just one resolution for each month. I can promise you that 99.9% of you will be more successful this way!

lol, so weird
For me in particular, I'm going to be doing either a give up or a take up. This month I am giving up drinking fizzy drinks (other than sparkling water), but in another month I may take up something such as yoga everyday.

I find this way you can be more selective to when you do the resolutions and will therefore be much more successful (for example, saying you'll go running everyday for the whole year is great and all, but what happens if you know you'll be going on holiday where it won't be possible? Instead you can chose just a month to do it where you know you can fit it in).

At the beginning of each month I'll update you on how the previous month went and what thing I'll take up or give up for the next month ahead so you can join me if you wish!

I'd love for you to do it with me as things are always easier with others so if you do please let me know in the comments!

  2. I need to start doing this, it's a much better way of working through large goals by splitting them into smaller more manageable goals for each month!
