My Shower Routine

Following on from my last post, I thought I'd let you in on my shower routine. As I don't bath anywhere near as much as I shower, my bath routine tends to stay the same for a long time but my shower one changes due to using up products quicker.

First, I get in, wet my hair and body and start to wash using this body wash from NSPA and my loofah sponge. The wash smells lovely, just like their other products, and froths up well. Not much to say about this really as it does what it says on the tin - washes.

Secondly I use step 2 of this shower trio form NSPA which is the body polish. This is basically like a shower gel but has tiny little beads in it, giving a lovely exfoliating feeling to the skin. As the beads are very small, it doesn't deep clean but it's enough to remove dead skin cells and other dirt before shaving. I then use my (mums) Gillette Venus razor. This is a good little razor, doesn't leave me with cuts but does leave me with sliky skin which is all I need.

Thirdly I wash my hair using two Aussie products. First I use their Aussome Volume Shampoo. THIS SMELLS AMAZING! It's really orangey and yummy and just like heaven basically. Unfortunately the smell doesn't stay on the hair once it's been washed though. Next I use their 3 Minute Miracle conditioner to give my hair a treat. This stuff is the best and leaves my hair feeling so healthy and soft.

Then whilst I wait for the conditioner to sink in, I wash my face using this Dark Angels cleanser from Lush. I really like how this leaves my skin feeling, but the fact it is jet black is really annoying as it gets everywhere (I went into work without realising I had a lump of it in my ear which I then realised once my mum pointed it out at home after work, fab). I wouldn't recommend this purely for its messiness as I know Lush do lots of other lovely cleansers which I think are much better than this one.

After that I give my feet a good scrub. This scrub is just one I've had for ages that came in a Next gift set. There's nothing special about it, but it smells lovely and minty and gives my toots a good washing. After that's done I'll wash out the conditioner and maybe comb through my hair with a wide tooth comb.

Finally I get out, dry myself off and moisturise using step 3, the body lotion. This stuff is similar to the face trio I reviewed yesterday as it can feel quite oily until it soaks in, but I actually really like that feeling as I know it's giving my skin a deep moisture treatment.
