Flared Jeans and Sun Hats

I thought I had already shared these pictures with you, but my blogging head has been all over the place at the moment so only just found them again and realised I was yet to put them on here! Jack took these a while ago during a little picnic we went on before it got really, really hot (hence the jeans and long sleeved shirt).

Now, I know they're not in fashion and I know they're not cool and I know people will laugh at them, but I had been after some flared jeans for far too long. As I have a bit of a booty and large-ish thighs, I find flared jeans have been and always will be the most flattering cut on me. I've tried skinnies but I find that unless you have legs like Kate Moss then they don't look too great (sorry, just my opinion), so I was bored of trying to make them work and just ending up feeling gross. Therefore I decided to go on an old school hunt. Which I then found out about half an hour later that after searching high and low on the internet, the only ones I found that I liked were Levi's and were 90 odd quid. So that was a no encase you hadn't already guessed. A few weeks later, I went charity shopping with my Daddy on father's day and much to my joy came across a pair I loved and.. AND they were only £1.99. Boom! So I got them there and then and couldn't stop smiling about them for the rest of the day!

I wanted to keep the old school look so added a hippie style, floaty shirt and this big floppy hat from Primark (which has now ripped again after getting a new on once that one too had ripped so do not buy this!).

Hat, Primark // Shirt, Forever 21 // Necklaces, Vintage // Jeans, Charity Shop // *Boots, Barratts* // Sunglasses, Ebay

  6. Nah, I think you can pull off the flares - your whole outfit is very seventies so it just works. I know what you mean about them being more flattering than skinnies too - I am bigger around the hips and thighs, and I remember back when these disappeared from all the shops a few years ago I was agreived, haha. Luckily I learned to love skinnies and will happily wear them now, but I do find that I'm limited as to what I can wear with them - it usually has to be something a bit longer, as if I wear a top that meets the top of the jeans it is most unflattering!
Have you stopped doing Youtube? Haven't seen any videos from you in a while. Are you feeling better now?

    1. Ah thank you! And no, not entirely, I just haven't had the time or felt like doing them recently. I do have one recorded though and ready to be edited, and another couple in the queue so keep a look out :) xx

  10. They really suit you! I have a pair of flares too, and they're so flattering as they really balance my figure out. I'd much rather have those than a pair of fashionable skinny jeans that don't look right on me.
You have the most amazing skin, too :)
