5 September 2012

We always have the rhythm here, in our blood and in our souls.

In my last post I wrote about the things I got up to when holidaying in Cornwall with my parents and Jack and showed some pretty pictures of the places we went. I thought I would try out doing my first proper outfit post today and show you what I wore each day when away! The weather wasn't particularly warm so you may notice an autumnal theme in my clothes. As this is my first outfit post, I feel a little nervous so hearing feedback would be amazing (as long as it's not too mean!).

Day one

Jack and I caught the train from our home town to Bodmin on Monday. I get a little nervous getting on and off trains as I'm so convinced I'll end up in Scotland one day (!) so I opted for something easy and comfortable so I didn't get in a flurry!

Top, borrowed // Cardigan, AnnA // Jeggins, old from Topshop // Belt, charity shop // Necklace, gifted // Boots, old from H&M.
Day two

On the second day we went down to the beautiful little town of Falmouth. This is where Jack and I are going to university in a few weeks so thought it would be nice to have a refresher visit again, just to check out the rooms to get measurements, etc. We then went down to the actual town where I handed out CVs in the hope of beating other students to it, but no one seemed to be hiring, boo.

Dress, everything5pounds.com // Necklace, from a Parisian market // Tights, Primark // Shoes, everything5pounds.com // Rings, gifted.
Day three

On the third day we headed to Trago Mills to do a little uni shopping. Ever since I was little I've always had a strange love for Trago and still consider it a day out when we go now. Walking round this time was even better though as being able to pick out all my uni stuff made it so so exciting! Before heading home we stopped off for a cream tea, which evidently turned into cider when we realised the tea shop was closed!

Jacket, Topshop // Top (dress tucked in), old from Topshop // Body necklace, gifted // Wrist cuff, gifted // Belt, charity shop // Jeans, Ark // Shoes, Converse from Very. (I'm not sure why my legs look so short).
Day four

Thursday was spent in Padstow and Rock. We walked through Padstow to get the ferry that goes across the estuary to the pretty little village of Rock where we had a bite to eat overlooking the water. So we've heard, Princes William and Harry used to holiday in Rock, so I felt quite posh for a few hours! ;) We then caught the ferry back and wondered round Padstow for a little while again, purchasing nothing but fudge.

Dress, old from Topshop // Cardigan, AnnA // Necklace, gifted // Bag, charity shop // Tights, Primark // Rings, gifted // Shoes, Converse from Very
Day five

On our final full day we had a lazy one, lounging around the static, watching TV and editing photos; but later headed to Watergate Bay for a lovely meal at dinner time. The restaurant we went to was lovely, very posh looking with a balcony looking out to surfers at sea. The food was delicious, but later came to realise that disco pants probably weren't the best choice of attire as I got a rather full tummy! Apologies for the bad quality image below, taking a picture without flash in the dark has resulted in being a difficult task!

Top, charity shop // Jacket, Topshop // Necklace, gifted // Disco Pants, Glamorous // Shoes, Converse from Very // Rings, gifted
